Hi, my name is Adriane Compton and I am the art teacher at Irish Elementary! I have been teaching here for nine years and I love being creative with kids. In addition to teaching, I enjoy painting, graphic design, and photography. I am a Colorado native and I love spending time with my husband and two young daughters.
I attended Colorado State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Art Education, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Spanish. Many of my college field experiences took place in Poudre School District, so I was thrilled to be able to begin my career in this district.
Art gives students a chance to explore who they are and express that to the world. Students gain skills in the art classroom that are essential in every part of their lives. My ultimate goal is to help my students find that creative spark within. I am consistently amazed at the creative ideas students come up with to solve artistic problems!
The Bible and the Hunger Games series.
I enjoy painting, drawing, photography, graphic design, hiking, biking, rafting, and spending time with family and friends.
Irish Elementary is a very collaborative and supportive environment for both students and staff. I enjoy collaborating with the ARTS team to create our cross-curricular programs and events.
