I have both my Bachlor's and Master's degree from University of Colorado. I hold a certification in special education as well as hold a Montessori licensure. In the last 20 + years, I have had the opportunity to teach in Illinios, Oregan, and Colorado. I started working at Irish in 2017.
I love that I faciltate in the growth and development starting at the foundation of school for children. Early Childhood has taught me to be patient, to slow down and listen, and to be excited that I am learning from my students everyday just as they are learning from others too. My favorite part is observing a child understanding a concept for the first time. It is equally exciting for me and the child.
My favorite children's book is Popcorn by Frank Asch. I look forward to reading from my copy when I was in pre-k every year around Halloween.
I love anything outdoors! Camping and hiking are my favorite as well as riding my bike. I also enjoy arts and crafts and have made jewelery in the past. A good cup of coffee or tea with a book is one of my favorite things to do as the weather begins to change to cooler tempatures.
Irish has a great community feeling. It is always amazing to see every staff member work so hard for the children in our school. Children are happy, excited to come to school, and more likely then not, helpful to their peers. I love working in a true team with similar goals.
Be the change you wish to see in the world
